I moved from Sussex to Gloucestershire to support my son’s education at Hartpury College. My business 51 Degrees Design supports SME businesses with a range of creative services including Web Design, graphic design, and social media management.
I found Sterling as a result of a flurry of networking activity undertaken when I arrived in my new home. Keen to find not only a business community but friends with whom I would be happy to share time. Sterling was mentioned as a great place to start.
Following my first ‘guest’ appearance at Stroud Sterling I was sold. What a welcoming group. Steered brilliantly by Tom Payne this was a group with a supportive ethos. Having made a great many one-to-one meetings with my Stroud Sterling members it was satisfying to have one of my first acquaintances get back in contact to request help with their website. Dan Button from Auto Enrolment Bureau had an immediate need to get his website back online. Once resolved Dan was confident in my abilities and appointed me to develop a new website that would highlight that they are an SME payroll specialist for the Gloucestershire area. A design solution was found that would highlight the spectacular local scenery and give the website a Gloucestershire focus.
Collaboration was key and Dan was very receptive to my ideas and welcomed my fresh approach to his content. I look forward to growing my list of Gloucester-based businesses as I proudly now call Gloucester my home and look to make lifelong friends in the local business community and beyond.
