Share The Love
In alignment with our mission to improve lives, for every policy taken, TR Health will be donating £50 towards Emily’s Gift. These donations will directly support the charity’s initiatives at the NHS Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, specifically in the paediatric oncology department known as the ‘Emily Kent Unit’. This department has become a beacon of hope for many families facing the unimaginable challenges of childhood cancer.
Supporting Vital Medical Equipment
The latest initiative by Emily’s Gift is the provision of two blood sampling machines for the NHS Gloucestershire Royal Hospital. These machines are essential in ensuring that children undergoing cancer treatment receive accurate and timely blood tests, a critical component of their care. By contributing to this cause, we aim to help reduce the physical strain on these young patients and support the hospital in delivering the highest quality of care.
Why Emily’s Gift?
Emily’s Gift was founded by Julie Kent MBE in memory of her daughter Emily, who passed away at the age of three from a brain tumour. Since its inception, the charity has been instrumental in providing psychological and emotional support to children undergoing cancer treatment and their families. The charity has surpassed its current goal to raise £500,000 by March 2024 to fund a psychologist for the Emily Kent Unit for ten years, ensuring that these families have access to vital mental health support during such a difficult time
