Tom Newbold, a Sterling Member for the Redditch Brunch, has been shortlisted as a finalist for the Greater Birmingham Young Professionals of the Year Awards (GBYPY) 2024.
This year they received a record number of entries and Tom has been selected as one of the 4 finalists for his category “sales, marketing and communications”. Tom’s interview is in September and the Awards take place on the 18th October at the ICC Birmingham.
4 years ago, Tom was working as a team manager at Hopwood Service Station, and worked in retail for all of his career, he then made the switch to marketing, having had no prior experience or knowledge. Tom entered as a trainee and is now the Digital Marketing Manager and Head of SEO (search engine optimisation) at Eleven Views, an award-winning marketing agency based in Redditch.
Becoming a finalist for such a prestigious award in the Birmingham region is a huge testament to Tom’s hard work over the last 4 years. Having suffered with imposter syndrome and confidence in speaking environments, Tom recently held his first public speaking event, which went very well and his confidence has grown massively in the last 12 months since working with Eleven Views.
Tom is very proud of his achievement and is looking forward to finding out the outcome of the event, a win would be great for him, but whatever happens getting to the interview process and being shortlisted is something he is very proud of and he wishes the best of luck to all the other finalists.
