As a professional brand photographer, I will always recommend investing in a professional brand shoot for your business. There is no better way to showcase you and your business in a still image format. However I am very aware that there are often times when having a professional photographer join you for a couple of shots here and there just isn’t realistic! This is where smartphone photography comes in.
Let’s say you’ve had a brand shoot, you are getting traction with your amazing bank of bespoke photos, but you’re heading to an expo or event. You’ll have your mobile with you so plan to snap a few behind-the-scenes shots while you are there. However, these perhaps come out blurry or dark. They don’t fit with your brand, and they certainly don’t look like the professional photos you’ve been sharing on your socials. There is a disconnect for your customers/clients, who now see these images as unprofessional. Does that make them feel that YOU are unprofessional too? Perhaps not…but is it worth the risk?
Now you COULD hire a photographer to come with you…but for one or two images, it’s likely not worth your money, unless you plan to share them in a press release or similar.
That’s where my new smartphone photography for business class comes in. This in-person class covers how to find the best lighting, tips on composition, as well as how to edit your photos to make them pop, all with a business focus. Now you can go to that event or expo, take in-real-time behind-the-scenes photos and know that they won’t let your business down.
Be aware that I can’t make you a professional photographer in just two hours! But I can give you the information to elevate your photos from ‘yikes!’ to ‘yay!’
I am also holding a smartphone photography class for social photographers, where there are gift vouchers available to Christmas. Perfect for people who’d like to take better photos of their kids, themselves or general day to day snaps.
Places to both classes are limited to 6, however I will run additional dates if there is enough demand.
