Sterling take on the JB Trust Quiz

After a 2 year hiatus, it was great to be back in the Graeme Hick Pavilion at Worcestershire CCC for our annual charity quiz.

In aid of The Joanna Brown Trust, the night was full of fun, laughter, chocolate and foreign songs. Yes, that’s right chocolate! This is not your typical quiz, from tasting and naming chocolates to naming songs being sung in a foreign language, everyone had a great time.

Sterling Members were out in force to support the evening with 3 teams. A great night has had by all.

The night raised £780 for the charity. 100% of that money will go towards supporting young British athletes.

Rich Brown, from QBD, founded the charity in memory of his sister in 2008. Since then the charity has provided grants to over 100 British athletes and support 8 sporting projects around the world.

Rich said, “It was so great to be back running the quiz again. It really is a highlight of the year for me and to see so many people in room supporting the charity really meant a lot. As we all know Sterling is like a family that support one another, and the fact so many of my fellow Sterling members came along is testament to that. I’d like to say a huge thank you to Jenni Henderson for rallying the troops and to David Chill from Versatility in Print for providing all the printing for the quiz free of charge.”

“The way we do the quiz is very unique. Someone once said to me…. ‘I love coming to this, it’s like a quiz for thick people!’. It really is a very social occasion at at times just felt like a load of friends all just having a drink and a laugh together.”
