A fabulous and fun night at the newest addition to the Stroud dining options with a twist – the Sterling members would be making their own Pizzas.
Once ushered into the hallowed kitchen area the first step was to stretch the sourdough mix to create their pizza bases. The group gathered around the workstation, and with the guidance of the restaurant the head chef, they began to stretch and shape the dough. Some were perfect, others square and some a little thin…
Next, we added the San Marzano (the only choice for serious foodies) tomato sauce, the staple ingredient in any pizza. The rich, tangy sauce was spread evenly across all the bases and not forgetting a drizzle of extra virgin oil was around the edge to ensure a nicely toasted crust.
Fat Tonis unlike many other pizza restaurants bake the bases plus sauce before adding ingredients… this ensures they do not go soggy.
And finally, each member of the group located their cooked bases and their favourite toppings, creating unique and personalised pizzas and handing them over to the kitchen team to finalise the cooking.
One by one the members gathered back around the table to compare tasting notes, grab food pics and group selfies and soak up the fantastic vibe at Fat Toni’s.
