Sterling Pears Worcester member The Royal National College for the Blind (RNC) is hosting an online webinar called ‘Breaking down barriers to employment’ for interested businesses on Wednesday, 1st December at 11am.
A nationally renowned specialist further education college, RNC has around 95 visually impaired and blind students a year, studying for academic and vocational qualifications, as well as learning vital life skills and extra curricular activities, including the Sports Academy and DofE, at its campus in Herefordshire.
The aim of the meeting is to explain how the RNC can work with local, regional and national businesses to get its students (age 16-25) into interesting and rewarding work experience placements and explore other options such as work shadowing, mentoring, internships and the possibility of students working on ‘live briefs’. The hosts will also talk about corporate partnerships at RNC.
To find out more or receive an official email invite with joining instructions for the Zoom meeting, please contact Melanie Denning at the RNC on 07436 095773 or email email@example.com
