At Lilac Howell, we work on so many films that often come and go in a blur. Then we work on one that leaves a lasting impression for so many reasons. This is one of those films. Saluting so many people who give their time and energy for such a brilliant cause is humbling and we were proud to be able to help tell this wonderful story. There’s so much good in the world if we all just look. Congratulations to the team for another superbly executed film.
Last month we had the privilege of putting together the stories from Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust #100Heroes event celebrating the amazing fundraising volunteers across the UK do to support our local hospital.
During the day we had business owners, the children’s hospital charity, doctors, parents and family members of the 8 winners in front of the camera and speaking to us about the impact their loved ones were making to the hospital.
Hearing how such wonderful things had blossomed out of the most tragic of circumstances was nothing short of awe inspiring. Stories of a 5 year old girl climbing the 3 peaks, to parents fundraising amounts in the 6 figures after the love and care the hospital had given to their children.
Emma was one of those who established the charity the #magicofmilly raising funds to support the Children’s hospital. Her team met with ourselves to tell her story the week before the event. It ended up being one of the most emotive and uplifting stories and we’re really grateful to Emma and the Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity team Lucie O’Reilly and Nicky Weston for kindly letting us share it.
