It is a privilege to have been commissioned to produce an exciting new 25-film case study series for one of our long-standing clients, the Sustainability Supply Chain School, that will shine a spotlight on how some of the UK’s biggest companies are getting creative with decarbonisation and their journey towards Net Zero.

The series is split into two batches. 10 for the Chartered Institute of Training Board (CITB) and 15 for NatWest Bank and they will be filmed all over the UK, literally from John O’Groats to Land’s End.

The NatWest films will showcase how businesses within the Healthcare, Hospitality and Commercial Real Estate sectors have practically implemented decarbonisation (including retrofit technologies where possible), the challenges that they have faced, the opportunities that this has presented, the impact that this has had on the people and also the financial and business outcomes.

Some of those involved included Spire and Nuffield Healthcare, Fashion Street Regeneration and Rufflets Hotel in Scotland.

There is a tight timescale to produce these films and as always, we’ve been responsible for pre-production and planning, which has proven to be a tricky assignment at times, but we’re deep into the midst of these films now and it’s been a fantastic experience. We’ve met some wonderful people, filmed some exciting projects and working with the Supply School, as ever, is both enjoyable and highly rewarding.

We hope we’ll be sharing some of these films across our platforms and channels at some stage in the future, inspiring others to take action. Sustainability isn’t just about cutting carbon—it’s about building a resilient future.

Anthony Howell, Director at Lilac Howell commented:

“We always like a challenge and this series of films are both challenging and exciting; what with the planning, pre-production and filming each case study in a half day window and then editing against a tight deadline.

But it’s what we do best, reassuring our clients that they get the full package from us, high-quality, memorable films, with the minimum of fuss”.

The CITB films will showcase the skills that are needed to enable Net Zero – so that educators could see case studies demonstrating what skills are being used and how they are being applied in industry.

Some of the companies involved include construction well-knowns as Kier, Balfour Beatty, Wilmott Dixon, Morgan Sindall and housing association, Green Square Accord.
