Go Climate Positive, Sterling Member for Cheltenham Regency and Worcester Wolves, is announcing new plans that will offer exciting new business opportunities as well as do more to tackle the climate emergency.
Following extensive research amongst the local business community, founder Eoin McQuone discovered a latent desire in SME owners to reduce their carbon footprint. Yet despite representing 99.9% of the UK business economy, there was limited resource and support available.
In true entrepreneurial style, Eoin identified a gap in the market – a gap that continues to grow -and founded Go Climate Positive to make it easier for SMEs to tackle climate change and prepare for the low-carbon economy through an affordable carbon management system.
Founded in February 2020, with a unique membership model, Go Climate Positive now boasts subscriptions of some 80 businesses, earns annual revenues in excess of £165,000 in client and consultancy fees and now plans to grow its activities further through an exciting new franchise model.
In 2023, in a bid to scale the business, and to ultimately avoid or offset even more carbon emissions, Go Climate Positive is offering two new franchise opportunities for prospective business owners with the drive and desire to start their own purpose-led business and make a real difference to the future of the planet and the human race.
Go Climate Positive will be exhibiting at the Sterling Gloucester Expo later this month to launch these new business opportunities.
Says Eoin, “We are at the beginning of our franchising journey, and we are now looking for one or two early adopters who are prepared to join us on this journey and become our first full franchisees.”

As well as delivering on its own emission reduction objectives, Go Climate Positive will continue its mission to help SMEs calculate and reduce their carbon footprint by recruiting a national network of carbon coaches.
By 2030, Go Climate Positive aims to have recruited and trained a carbon coach for every county (44), supported by an internal team of 10-12. It is anticipated that this will enable the business to grow to more than 2000 members, generating turnover of around £3m, whilst helping to reduce, avoid or offset over 40,000 tCO2e per year.
