Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust Puts the Fun in Festive Fundraising
Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust are inviting everyone across the Sterling community to do their bit to support their fight against childhood cancer this festive season.
There are so many ways you can get involved from hosting your own Christmas Jumper Day at work, getting together with family and friends for a Christmas Colour Run (paint provided!), and for schools, the charity has created a fabulous Reindeer Festive Fun jam-packed activity pack for those who host fundraising challenges. These are just some of the ways you can show your support and help the charity fight childhood cancer.
Coralie Hudson, Fundraiser at the Trust, said: “We are so excited about Christmas at the Trust! We have so much to offer supporters from those who like to get out and about and do something silly or host their own fun events, like a Christmas jumper day, at work or school, to the more sedate who might like to send some of our wonderful range of Christmas cards. There really is a way for everyone to support us this Christmas.”
“With latest statistics in the UK have showing that 1 child in every 450 will sadly develop cancer before their 15th birthday, it is so vital that we continue to fight for these children and ensure the signs and symptoms of childhood cancer are shared as wide as possible. Those who choose to do something wonderful this festive season, really will have a lasting impact on our families this Christmas and beyond.”
The Trust funds research in to rare and aggressive childhood cancers, educates families and clinicians about the signs and symptoms of childhood cancer and produces medical information booklets to explain to parents and children about the treatments they are facing.
The charity also provides financial, practical, and emotional support to local families through their family support service, giving families a listening ear and support at the time when they need it most.

The Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust was set up in memory of Grace, who passed away at the age of 4, from a rare form of childhood cancer. Grace left behind a wish to help other children. Through her inspirational legacy, the team at the Grace Kelly Trust work to support so many families, both locally and nationally.
Childhood cancer the biggest medical cause of death of children in the UK and we are working to try and change this. We fund research into rare childhood cancers and teach the signs and symptoms of childhood cancer to parents and clinicians to work towards earlier diagnosis. This is already saving lives.
The Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust is a small but growing charity with much of its work central to Worcestershire.
Childhood cancer is not as rare as many may think. It affects 1 in every 500 children before the age of 15. This is why we are fighting so hard for these children.
