Following a couple of years establishing and strengthening the business, Murcott Energy is now growing.
The company is currently under contract with Network Rail to design and produce a transportable wind turbine, a variant of our Murb. Manufacture of the wind turbine is planned start in the summer. The project has driven the development of the business, from a start-up to a business that is knocking on the door of ISO accreditation.
More recently, Innovate UK has awarded Murcott Energy Ltd. a grant to accelerate the MurbTM Wind Turbine into remote telecoms power.
The goal is to offer the Murb as a clean, economic, and compliant power source for cell towers.
It will enable telecommunications in otherwise unsustainable, and remote locations, supporting local communities to thrive through increased connectivity.
This will be achieved through a 6-month project that will:
- Produce a telecoms ‘market-ready’ design variant of the MurbTM.
- Leverage Murcott Energy’s previous innovations and intellectual property.
The project will achieve its objectives through focused end-user collaboration, compliance engineering, and electro-mechanical product development.
We are also delighted to introduce our newest team member, Mohammed Sirhan, as Mechanical Engineer We are excited to have him join us. He will take a key role in our Product Development, Mechanical Design, Computer Aided Engineering, and analysis consultancy services.
Finally, Murcott Energy will be exhibiting at the Sterling Worcestershire Expo, on Thursday 16th May. The company director, Ben Murcott, will be there. He is looking forward to speaking with visitors and Sterling members. Ben can answer questions about our wind turbine technologies, temporary power applications, and finite element analysis engineering consultancy services.
