A thriving Midlands based business owner is celebrating 10 years in business with a special celebration alongside her longstanding networking group. Emma Cromarty, Owner of EC Human Resources Limited who has over 20 years’ experience in the HR sector, started the Black Country based business in 2013 after realising that she wanted to build her own business.

Celebrating with cake and fizz, Emma was able to celebrate the success of the last ten years in business with those that have helped the company grow substantially. With a group of likeminded people at her side Emma has learned to balance running the company with raising her two children, EC Human Resources now boasts over 80 clients and continues to go from strength to strength.

Emma said ‘I wanted to start my own business to be my own boss, work my own hours and have some freedom with the work I accepted. I have always enjoyed HR, but I wanted to really add value to small/medium sized businesses who couldn’t afford or didn’t require a full time HR person on site.

I love working for a variety of different clients and industries all with their own challenges. No one day is the same, which I really enjoy. I am very pleased that 10 years on, I have seen growth, but not only that, the most important thing to me is that I am still working with many of the same clients I have had from day one and they continue to come back to me time after time. Building relationships is important to me; getting to know a business and having an impact is rewarding.’

Servicing a variety of industries from Engineering and Manufacturing to Veterinary Surgeries and Nurseries, ECHR limited has grown year on year despite the challenges of Covid and Brexit. This has only been made possible by the clients that have retained ECHR for all of their human resource requirements.

Clients are always willing to express their gratitude to ECHR Limited and spread the word about the service they receive from Emma. Louise O’Dowd from Peak Safety said ‘We are delighted to be working with Emma and would highly recommend her. She plays an extremely professional and supportive role through the whole HR process. We consider her part of our team. she is always available for advice and provision of documents when we need them. She gives us the confidence that what we do and how we do it is correct.’

Andy Pennock from Eclipse Sprayers said he was thrilled that ECHR are reaching such an important milestone and said ‘Having Emma on hand to advise and assist with our HR has been invaluable. She understands our business and the challenges that we face. We greatly appreciate her knowledge and the support that she has given especially when making difficult decisions and changes.’

Looking to the future Emma is set to roll out the 2023 changes in law and basic rates of pay across her client base and said ‘I hope I can celebrate 20 years in business and still feel as happy and rewarded as I do now.’
