Since it’s launch in 2019 Dojo has upheld the ethos of ‘customer-obsessed’ and made it the foundation of their service. In fact, they credit their phenomenal growth within the payments market to this focus.
Chief Technology Officer of Dojo, Nick Fryer told FinTech Magazine, ‘We started it off at the top by writing down some of the problems, and then we set about solving all of them. It’s quite a bold thing, but it genuinely came from a very good place. We came from a customer’s point of view. We wanted a product that we were proud of, apart from anything else.
We built Dojo with that mission and we pretty much did that. We’ve solved, if not all of them, almost all of the pain points.’ FinTech
One shining example of excellence in resolving customer pain-points is that of Oxfordshire-based Dojo Payments Consultant, Tony Parry and the Oxfordshire village pub, The Merry Miller.
The Merry Miller found that after the ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ scheme ended they were struggling to maintain the same numbers for dining bookings. Landlady, Jackie asked Tony how he could help.
The Merry Miller now uses the booking system developed by Dojo to take online reservations, an app that integrates with Google and so also boosts search visibility. At the end of 2023 Jackie declared a reduction in costs in the region of £6,000.
With the news that Dojo has increased their visibility in the payments market share in the UK, we’re certainly not surprised to hear that they plan to push into Ireland this year as well. We wish Tony and the Dojo organisation all the best and look forward to next year’s figures.
