Directors Kirsten Compton and Tom Lowe, will share the role of Davies and Partners Solicitors’ Gloucester office, as former head, Nigel Tillott, steps back from the role after 13 years at the helm.

Nigel Tillott has become a legal consultant for the firm and will be focusing more on his mediation work for employers.

Davies and Partners has had an office in Gloucester for over three decades and has been based at the Barnwood Business Park on the outskirts of the city for 35 years.

Kirsten and Tom have taken over the running of the Gloucester office at a key stage in the firm’s development, following its merger with Gloucester legal firm, Iacopi Palmer, in March.

Kirsten heads up the Commercial Property team in the Gloucester office and, as a director, sits on the Management Board. She is also the firm’s appointed training principal, overseeing the trainee solicitor and solicitor apprenticeship programmes.

Kirsten has worked at Davies and Partners since 2017. She has extensive experience from almost 20 years’ legal experience. Kirsten advises a wide range of clients within the commercial property sector. She has been involved in a number of high profile projects in Gloucestershire and has in-depth knowledge of the commercial property market in the region and around the UK.

Tom Lowe is also a director who sits on the firm’s Management Board. Tom heads up the firm’s New Build Home Sales Department, which acts for a variety of housebuilder clients, ranging in size from national PLCs to small boutique developers, providing luxury homes throughout England and Wales.

Tom has risen through the ranks at Davies and Partners, having joined the firm back in 2011 as a trainee. He qualified as a solicitor in 2013 and is an excellent example of the firm’s commitment both to its staff and the local area.

Under Tom’s leadership, the New Build Homes Sales Department has expanded greatly and offers specialist advice to the residential development sector in dealing with all aspects of residential development, from straightforward infrastructure transfer and plot sales to regenerative funding, joint venture and consortium developments.

The firm’s recent merger with Gloucester based Iacopi Palmer Solicitors has further enhanced Davies and Partners’ position as a leading provider of legal services in Gloucester and built on its national reputation in the fields of medical negligence and Court of Protection.

Iacopi Palmer celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2023. In that time, the firm has developed a strong reputation in the Gloucester area and a national profile for its medical negligence work.

Iacopi Palmer’s team, including founder and deputy district judge, Christine Iacopi, joined Davies and Partners following the merger.

Davies and Partners, which has offices in Gloucester, Birmingham, Bristol, London’s West End and North Devon, employs over 140 staff.
