Buddy Bag Foundation launched in 2015 and what a journey we have had!

With the help and support of our volunteers we have recently packed our 60,000th Buddy Bag an amazing achievement.

Making a difference to children in emergency care.

These “Bags of Love” have been delivered to over 325 Womens refuge Centres in the UK. Children often arrive in refuge with literally the clothes they are standing in. Receiving a rucksack with 12 brand new essential items. Restoring a sense of security into a childs life during a traumatic time is one of the first steps to recovery.

Along of journey, we have been recognised “Queens Award for Voluntary Service” recognising our strong team of nearly 5000 volunteers.

We have our own BBF HQ kindly donated to us by Graham Johnston, a local Business owner in Minworth Sutton Coldfield.. This generous donation has not only afforded us the base we so desperately needed but has also ensured that we have the facility to pack bags, have sufficient storage and the luxury of being able to buy items in bulk and lower costs.

Our Team Building Events have been in demand too, Utility Warehouse, Honeywell, Places for People, Wells Fargo and Amazon have all held events as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility programs.

To celebrate, recognise and thank all our volunteers and supporters for supplying our “Bags of Love” we will be hosting an Afternoon Tea on the 4th May at Ian Hazel Funeral Services. We proud, humbled to have achieved this milestone of 60,000 and are looking forward to continue to achieve something truly special.
