A Positive Step Forward for All Properties Across the Midlands

For the last few years Clever Energy Midlands have spoken with many homeowners, landlords and businesses who simply did not have realistic or efficient heating options. A large number relied on electric panel heaters or older storage heaters that were expensive to run and did not provide the level of comfort people needed in their homes.

Now there is some great news.

There has been an announcement that air to air systems will be included within the Boiler Upgrade Scheme, with £2,500 expected to be available towards the cost of installation. This is a positive step forward for all properties across the Midlands, particularly those that have previously been unable to benefit from earlier schemes due to their current heating setup or living arrangements.

Important to know

Although this inclusion has been announced, the official launch date has not yet been released. This article is intended simply to help Sterling members understand what is available. If it is of interest, you can do your own research and begin exploring whether this may be a suitable option for you.

Air to air systems are an effective and modern heating solution. They work by drawing heat from the outside air and circulating warm air indoors through a compact unit. They warm rooms quickly and evenly and can also cool the home during warmer months. They are a good alternative for those who may be considering moving away from gas in the future, although we always stress that every home is different and every customer’s needs are unique.

For households relying on electric panel heaters or older storage heaters, air to air systems can offer noticeably improved efficiency. They use a small amount of electricity to generate a much larger amount of heat. With gas boilers starting at around £2,000, and with uncertainty around gas costs, some people are exploring modern electric options that can offer greater control and lower running costs.
